Kitchen
helper
The kitchen team consists of people with different personal and
educational backgrounds. During the course, the employee gains
practical training and experience with the daily management of a
café/restaurant. The kitchen prepares lunch, dinner and
buffets with warm and cold dishes for smaller and larger groups. We
make healthy and tasty food and offer both meat and vegetarian dishes.
We use only fresh ingredients and prepare all dishes from scratch -
e.g. we bake our own bread daily.
Restaurant
helper
The restaurant team serves the customers at Gyngen and
Musikcaféen. The job involves serving and bussing tables,
stocking ingredients and securing the smooth running of concerts and
other activities. After a trainee period, the restaurant helper is
offered advancement to bar manager. This entails opening and closing
the bar and breaking in new restaurant helpers.

DTP'er
Kultursats works as an advertizing agency. We produce pr-material for
Kulturgyngen; event-, monthly- and topical flyers and folders, as well
as material for management. In addition, we also produce some material
for customers. Familiarity with computers is an advantage, but not a
requirement. Training is done while working towards specific goals,
taking advantage of individual strengths and qualifications in the
daily work. We often assist the staff of Kulturgyngen with general
computer problems, aiming to give a confidence and desire to work in
the IT field.
Information
Worker
Kulturgyngen's information office is a busy work-space,
telephones ringing, information and messages being passed along, people
coming in from the street for advice and counselling. Information
workers are in the center of communication, a multi-facetted role
where coordination, precise and timely messages, and appropriate
communication are
the key words. In addition, secretary and some administrative tasks are
to be expected. Courses in communication are available.
Booking
As an employee in booking, daily tasks involve booking bands and acts,
finding interesting cultural offers, public relations, text
work
(monthly programs, press releases etc.), miscellaneous administrative
tasks, coordination with bar personel and technical employees, with
accounting, printing and more. We offer a dynamic and creative
environment in the music business.
Sound/stage
technician
As a technical employee at Gyngen, practical experience in sound- and
stage-work comes as a part of the daily tasks. Being a part of the
technical side of concerts and shows, the opportunities for later
employment and education are strengthened. Daily tasks include
deployment and maintenance of sound and lighting equipment, in a
"technical coordinator" role, coordinating with janitors, booking and
bar personel, as well as solving day-to-day techincal problems.
Janitor
Kulturgyngen's janitors are responsible for cleaning and maintenance of
the Gyngen restaurant; concert room, band room, toilets, drains,
stairs, copy room, bathroom, windows, workshop, outdoors area and more.
The janitor group also participates in the distribution of
Kulturgyngen's PR material, so some office-related tasks are included
in the job.
Bookkeeping-assistant
Kulturgyngen is a private company of its own. The project is funded
through the restaurant, and through grants and support from public as
well as private foundations.
Through the daily work you'll gain practical training in and experience
with bookkeeping, and become praticed in use of programs such as
Navision and Excel.
